Here at PowerX we install remapped tuning files directly on to your vehicle by taking the parameters that the original manufacturer set and enhancing them to obtain the best solution. An ECU file contains 100’s of tables where we can make changes to adjust fuelling, boost, injection, torque control, air fuel ratios, speed limiter, rev limiter, DPF control, EGR function, etc, etc.

Our PowerX remapping process enhances and optimises the power of the engine within safe limits, not beyond them. Extra power will also result in fewer gear changes, which might actually reduce overall wear. All engines are different as to how much it can be safely enhanced in a remap, but a good remap from PowerX will never get close to the limits of component failure.

Manufacturers generally sell vehicles that cover various markets, with different tax and emissions regulations, different climates with extremes of heat, cold, humidity, and fuel qualities, operating altitudes etc. Manufacturers have to make compromises in the vehicles operation to cover this. Virtually every vehicle on the road has a tuning set-up that is a compromise. We can safely optimise the engine tuning and outputs. Some manufacturers do offer remapping under a separate performance brand, for instance Mercedes ReMap under their Brabus brand.

You may find that other Remaps quote higher output figures than us. The reality is quality ReMaps will generally have similar outputs to each other so beware of excessive gains, as they may be pushing the vehicle beyond safe limits.

Currently we can’t save both your pocket and the planet, but when you have a PowerX Green Remap you can experience substantial fuel savings, most turbo-diesel vehicles can see a 10-15% fuel saving. When combined with a change in driving style to take advantage of the extra torque and driveability, then much more is possible. However, use the extra power, drive hard and experience the improved acceleration or higher speed and savings will be minimal – though you may have more fun!

We are very confident that your  PowerX Remap or Tuning Box will improve your driving experience and save fuel. But, don’t take our word for it; try it for 30 days and if you are not delighted with the results, simply return to your vehicle to us and we will return the Map back to its original state and give you a refund.

Should you want your vehicle tested, we have our own Rolling Road/Dyno and also offer packages to include pre/post power/economy runs.
